I didn't forget.. ;)

yeah sooo looks like I got a tad lazy about mid week trying to keep you guys updated on how the run was going.. =/ I know it's horrible of me.. I was dead tired by mid week! I was trying to upload pics as fast as I could but I forgot my cord at home and the card reader I bought in canada was not cutting it. I finally got the card reader to work after all was said and done in Arizona and the Stupid comp. froze and I couldn't upload the rest of them by the time I got everything fixed. I know what Pete is probably playing a violin right now as he reads this! HAHA IT'S TRUE I SWEAR!! ;)

Well anyway this years Bullrun was SUPER AWESOME!! I had an especially great time running with team angry. All you guys made my year! I must take a moment and gush about the last leg into the final checkpoint. I was reading the blog earlier and I see that Pete let you on the news. Yes I came in third the the last checkpoint of the rally. Team Angry got it done by finished 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th!! Yes thats right!!!  We ended in Scottsdale Arizona which I don't care what they say about it being a "dry heat" it was insanely HOT!! haha We stayed at one of the cutest hotels I have ever seen. It was very Austin Powers chic.. It was called the Valley Ho. If you are ever looking to visit the Scottsdale area check it out super cool!

I got in last night super late. We were suppose to take a flight out at 11:40 in the morning but when we got to the airport we found out that the flight was delayed for not 1 but 2 hours! YIPPEEE.. LONGEST FLIGHT EVER!! Needless to say I am home now and have been attending to the lovely task of unpacking. =P The good news I got today was that my car actually came in off the truck this morning. My good friend Larry from the New York Motor Club is keeping it to detail it for me.. As soon as I get it back I am taking to back over to AI Design to start working on a new body kit for my 335. The project begins baby..

We were talking before we left to about possibly doing another rally in Sept. It's called the Fireball run. Not certain on details yet but figured I would throw it out there.

As for now I am back in NY and full steam ahead working. I got great news while I was away and upon returning that the album is sounding DOPE and is almost at completion!!!! Also there are some dates on the table for some hot performances that you can find on my website (www.kristineelezaj.com) myspace (myspace.com/kristineelezaj) and I will also post them here for you guys.. Have some photoshoots that we are planning right now as well. Have to head to San Fran. in the next week or two on some business. OHHH and it's my bday soon!! July 6th WOOHPPIIEE !!!

Okie dokie so thats pretty much the latest as of now. As the week starts coming back into my memory I'll jump back on here.. I'm sending Pete some pics so they will be up soon! ;)

ciao!

Racing Arizona

"Where in sweet Maxwell's silver hammer have you been, Pete?! Are Kristine and Marash even still on this planet?" - (you).

Look....take it easy. You have every right to be a bit pantie-bunched. You like your blogs, and you like them morning coffee fresh - fair enough. So let me bring you as much up to speed as I can. In addition, Kristine will be deboarding a plane from the great southwest sometime in the late hours of the eve, and she will personally give you as much first hand info as possible from the rally. Oh, and the chick has pictures. Lots of them. We'll post them. You'll heart them. If you're good, we might even put up a video. Yeah....I know. But she is at the airport, most likely even on a plane now. See that pic below, that's our girl with her teammate Mike Musto. They look extremely happy. And by happy I of course mean death warmed over.

The rally was packed with adventures, greasy foods, cars following them with pretty blue and red lights on their roofs, awesome scenery, parties that would make your liver cry, handcuffs, and those things cops use to bind your hands behind your back, and more. Kristine will have plenty-o-tales over the next weeks. I'm here to tell you that they pulled into their last check-point in Scottsdale, Arizona safe and snug. Remember my earlier post when I was all uber-excited because they polished off a champion leg of the rally in 8th place? Remember? Yeah you do. Well, I don't even know how to tell you about their finish into Scottsdale. I'm never at a lack for works. I love words. You know what...I'm not even going to say.

3rd. There, I said it. 3rd. Tell me something sweeter and I'll send this expired gift card from Cold Stone on my desk. Cake batter with peanut-butter is the Mona Lisa of desserts. Except I call it the Pete Michels. Delicious . . . agreed. Seriously, what the what? Amazing driving....

Folks, check back soon for a plethora of pictures. Kristine will give the dirt. She was about to tell me one of the tamer stories from the run a few hours ago, but didn't in case of phone tapping. I think that means it is going to be an interesting yarn. Point being - this site will continue - there is plenty more racing, updates, concert stuff, merch, tomfoolery, and multimedia. MULTIMEDIA!

A massive congrats to Marash and Kristine Elezaj. Two excellent drivers, and even better people. These guys impressed way beyond expectations - true rally Vets. Nice job guys! And if you think Kristine can drive, wait until you hear sing the eff out of her new album. It's silly awesome.

Um....

So, I'm going to tell you something important and I want you to try to do your best to believe me. I'll tell you what - why don't you go make yourself a martini, put on some slippers and nestle into your favorite chair. At the office you say? Well put that Mochachino down...I don't want you to spill it on your keyboard. Plus, those go straight to your ass. Have you seen your ass? Yuh...uh hello!? We good? Nice one. Okay, here goes...

As you know there are shy of 100 cars in these rallies. A good portion of them veteran drivers, some even race car drivers. They drive hard. They drive fast. If you are able to shake up a cocktail of skill, endurance, brains and then rinse the glass with a splash of luck, you might be able to finish a leg of the rally in the top 25. That is a feat in itself. Well Marash and Kristine....remember Kristine? This is a site about Kristine. I'm here to tell you that team Elezaj pulled into Park City, Utah not only in the top 25....not only in the top 12, but top 10. A cool eighth place. As in eight. 8th. Amazing!

For those of you who have never done one of these, it is hard to have a barometer of how complex this is. I'm telling you Kristine killed it. And I told you a few posts earlier...this girl has a gas foot like justice. This guy is hella proud.

You guys are going to want to check back here soon. There are photos being uploaded! Maybe a movie or two! We will be giving out 4.2 Million dollars!* And A TON MORE UPDATES ON KRISTINE AND MARASH! If you don't come back you'll only be disappointed. Disappointed like I found that money wasn't for nothing and chicks didn't come for free. Trust me.

*complete lie.

Should of came in 6th!

quick update before i head off to bed cause boy am I beat. I've driven both days of the rally totaling 1500 miles roughly. Today coming into Aspen I was running head of the pack with 5 other cars and should have checked in 6th place into the night checkpoint but the pack of us got pulled over 40 miles outside of out checkpoint. It was the most retarded ticket to. Apparently the cop said that someone called into them complaining about a bunch of cars on hwy 70 going btwn 110 and 120 MPH. ;) hmmmm.. The cop NEVER clocked us, paced us or even saw us doing anything remotely like that. We were pulled over on the side of the road off the last exit we needed to take for about 45 mins before they let us go with our tickets. The cop said that he could have given us reckless driving tickets which of course results in an arrest? He lowered it to "careless driving" which is at $67 fine and 4 points.. The thing that bugged us was we didn't know you could be issued a ticket on hearsay??!! Needless to say after all that and after finally getting back on the road we pulled into the hotel in 12th place again.. hahaha Seems to be my lucky number this year. Was really bummed about how well we would have done if it wasn't for the time we lost on the side of the road. It's ok though, the cars that were there we know the truth =P

I'm really proud of our 2 teammates Andre and Larry in the black R8.. They were 1st into the overnight checkpoint today.. They found an amazing road that put them 45 mins ahead of everyone into the hotel. Way to go guys!!!

As for picture updates, I'm having a little trouble loading them onto the computer. I have been trying for the last 20 mins to get the card reader to work. I had forgotten the camera cord to upload the pics at home and ran into a store in Calgary to buy a card reader. It worked the first time I used it but seems to be acting up on me now =/ I'll try again in a little bit and see what happens. I have some great video to that I am dying to get up for you guys soon...

Alrighty then.. Off to bed for me now.. I will be checking in again tomorrow =)

Heading to Teton Mountain Range for Lunch After a 12th Place Finish!

So I've driven a few rallies. Won some lost some. But win or lose there are a few important facts that you have tattooed in your mind through out. They are ridiculously important, and some are even unspoken. You don't want to get arrested. You don't want to crash. You don't want to do a rally because "they made a reality show about it". You don't want to get lost. And maybe most importantly, you don't want to get beat by a girl. Well my friends, about 80% of the rally drivers didn't call home last night. Veteran driver Kristine Elezaj checked into the 3rd and final check-point in a cool 12th place. That's impressive.

With Marash ably navigating, Kristine tackled the mountains and cowboy trail-blazed back-roads of Big Sky country leaving the majority of the Ferraris, Lambos, and other exotics in her rear-view mirror. Nice work K.

I've driven with Kristine before, and you quickly begin to recognize why she can handle the open countries of the rally world. I'm thinking of a particular drive through probably the most undriver-friendly environment....Manhattan. Kristine slaloms her way through the steam venting, claustrophobicly populated island like most test the Nürburgring. It's scary. And fun. Mostly scary. Pedal down, one hand on the wheel, the other thumbing the ipod, in deep conversation. I remember rapidly approaching a cement mixer backing out of a taped off ally. I pointed repeatedly at it, not able to find the words, "Um...uh...".
Her response, as she slipped by it at a blistering pace, adjusting her perfectly red hair, and flipping off a horrified bike messenger was "Ooo, here is it....I love this song!" It's kinda like sky-diving. You'll need a change of clothes, but it was hella fun and you'll have a great story for cocktail hour. Point being - don't make the mistake and kid yourself - she knows what she's doing, and having fun while doing it.

As I write this, Kristine and Marash are darting to the Spring Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for an afternoon bite and new route card. I asked Marash how much he's driven so far, to which he replied "I'll tell you when that happens."

More to come guys! Will update when they get the evening local! Go K&M!

Such a long run!!

Today was such a loonnngggg run. I drove the whole way today which was about 740 miles long. I'm just jumping into bed now. We are staying in Big Sky Montana tonight and heading out 2moro morning at 9am...
Mikes Charger is officially out of the rally. Mike's luck finally ran out today when he cracked and rim and shredded one of the tires. The car is somewhere in Montana now getting ready to be shipped back to New York. I feel horrible. The last couple of days for him have been hell. We also had a close call today. We were about 40 miles outside of the last check point when we were all getting off the exit when a ferrari & a z06 got into an accident. The Ferrari looks worse then it actually is but it sucks none the less. I was the next car behind the Ferrari when it happened. Needless to say dad was freaking out. Didn't tell Mom yet about the days events. I think I'm going to leave that part out to spare her the heart attack. ;) Lucky though I got no tickets today.. Cops were out like crazy though today. Some people got nabbed about 3 times! Some tickets where about $200+.... We had a few cop cars pull out and pace us but that was it... Woo HOO

I got pics from todays run and will be sending them over to pete so he can post them for ya.. I'm beat right now though so I will upload them sometime tomorrow when I can.....

Quick Update....

K&M drove in 15th to today's lunch checkpoint, and 17th to the second. Nice work guys! More info to come when I have it.

Pics from the Road to Alberta - FIRST PICS OF CAR!

A quick hello, and some pics, as Bullrun gets underway today. These are some shots from Thursday, heading up Montana into Canada. There are also a few of the car all ready for the rally....which is just about underway! Go Kristine! This is going to be a lot of fun - both Kristine and Marash are great drivers and a ton of fun, so keep checking back because I'm sure there will be some fantastic updates.

heading off 2 bed.. zzz

can't believe the start of the rally is tomorrow!!! With the way I feel right now because of the last few days events I feel like I have been on the rally for a week already.. haha I am trying to head off to bed at a reasonable hour tonight so I am not totally beat in the morning. Dad and I just got in from checking out the launch party. Not to bad we are in the rooms before 12! ;)

Driving into calgary was WORK! We lost 2 of the cars we were driving up with because Mike's daytona was having MAJOR problems. We pulled into St. Mary's resort about an hour outside of the border for some gas and we found out that the gas tank had a leak. Mike had to stay behind with the charger that night along with Todd and his father in the f430. Oddly enough a gentlemen who had driven out from somewhere in Montana earlier that day to film us getting our cars stickers in Montana just happened to have a charger gas tank at home and drove 600 miles that night to help Mike get the new gas tank on. What are the odds??!! Mike made it into Calgary lucky today but luck stuck again and he broke down 6 miles away from the hotel. We picked up his co-driver pete who was able to fix the problem and they were back en-route to the hotel when they ran out of gas!! I swear it was never ending!! Mike & the charger are up and running so hopefully tomorrow's events go off without a hitch. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him. We are going to take it easy tomorrow and I hear it's a REALLY REALLY long drive to where ever we are going.

We however had a B-E-Autiful drive up to the border and through canada.. As you read from Pete I uploaded all the stuff that I shot and will be sending him it so he can post it up for you to see. I had to make room on the camera and delete some stuff I took so much. The funniest part was running into all the wildlife that just cross the roads without a care.. We ran into 3 herd of cow along the way. One of which just didn't want to get out of the road!! It was HILARIOUS!! Andre in his r8 was on the P.A that he has in the car Mooing back at them! I got it all on video =) The car has all its stickers on, looks mean and ready to go.. West Coast Customs HOOKED up the decals this year and the cars look amazing! I uploaded those pics to and will be sending em over.

Alrighty my eyes are getting heavy. Pete's probably going to make fun of me in the morning or yell at me for not calling him back today which he says I am very bad at.. NO I'M NOT!! ;) hahaha I texted you that counts! Cell phone service up here is wacky....

If any of you are up in Calgary come out the start of the rally tomorrow!! It's going to be awesome! Otherwise check back for all the pics and footage soon!

NIGHTY NITE!

Kebe in Kalgary

According to Wikipedia Calgary was ranked the world's cleanest city by Mercer Quality of Living in a survey published in 2007 Forbes. And as we all know, if it is on Wikipedia, it is stone hard fact. I heard they now have internet in prison, and spend most of their time writing facts on Wikipedia. Truth. I read it on Wikipedia.

SOOOO..... I spoke to Kristine today, and I really want to tell you a different story than the earlier entry about her being very tired. Really I do.

Turns out she didn't get into Calgary until around 1am Alberta Mean Time. Long drive.

"Beautiful drive, right?" - PM
"Oh man, it was unbelievable. Gorgeous" - KE
"What was the landscape like?" - PM
"Well..OH....Stampede! Yeah, we saw a stampede of cattle. Pete really, I have film, you will..." - KE
"Cattle are delicious" -PM
"They were brown." - KE

She promised to send me pics of the freshly stickered BMW, and some random cow pics. Stay tuned!

Folks, Bullrun is underway tomorrow! It's going to be huge! Let's see how clean the city is 20 minutes after the carbon footprint of Bullrun leaves town. It's going to be sweet - get out and see it if you are up there, because it is a true spectical. Say hi to Kristine and Marash!

Kristine on RPM

FYI guys - Kristine will be calling into RPM radio show today around 2:30pm EST.. The show is on SIRIUS Channel 108, Maxim Radio, and starts at 2pm. You should absolutely tune into the entire show, they are fun guys, and have a lot of cool info on the auto world. So tune in!

I just talked to Kristine from Big Sky Country. She hadn't had coffee yet and it was like 7am there. It was funny because as you know, Kristine is a normally very sweet and witty person by nature, and she wasn't quite awake, but trying really hard. It's kind of like a kid that wakes up Christmas morning, but it is like 4am Christmas morning. We've all done it. You stumble down there stairs, tripping over the tears in the boots of your one-piece PJ's, knocking over nativity scenes and stepping on the sleeping dog's tail. You're excited, but really in no condition to deal yet. Your brain says "Yes", but your body says "Hell no".

"I woke up thinking it was Bullrun already." -KE
"It's actually Thursday. Hey, sing me a song!" - PM
"I have to go now." (Click) - KE

In Montana...Getting Ready to Drive North!

Sooo today we flew into Kalispell Montana getting all ready to head up to Calgary tomorrow before the start of Bullrun. When we got in today our cars had already arrived which was awesome. We had them driven out on a huge Semi to meet us in Montana. I think the guy got a little peeved at driving such a long way that he wasn't in the best of moods when we met up with him when we got to the hotel. My car is actually still on the truck. My car was actually loaded in first and they put a FJ Cruiser behind me which was to tall with the air in the tires. They had to let some air out to get in on the truck and needless to say the owner isn't here yet to get it off so I'm stuck until tomorrow morning. =( I was hoping that I could get all my stickers and decals on tonight.. BUMMER! Well that's actually not as bad as Dad's passport not being ready so I really shouldn't be complaining. haha I don't even know why I was laughing at that either. (Sorry Dad, not funny I know) That's a WHOLE other story. He's been freaking out all week trying to figure out what's been taking so long. We went and paid to have them expedited last week. Mine I got the next day but his is still being "processed" We might have to sneak him in in my suitcase so I don't have to drive the first leg of the rally solo..SHHHH ;)
Back to the unloading of the cars for a second. You had to see the crowd the other cars we are traveling with drew. We have Mike Musto’s (Mr. Angry) Daytona. He built it himself and its INSANE!! That car seems to be the hit in this town. Have some footage of it which I’ll be posting soon. We’re also riding with the new Audi R8. Our friend Andre Betz from the NYMC owns that car. He has done so much aftermarket work to that car its like a spaceship. Haha He’s got everything from 3 Navi’s to internet access in that car. The cool part about our team is that they are all black and I’m the only white car in the bunch. I don’t know if I mentioned I’m taking my new BMW 335xi Coupe on the run this year. I didn’t do all the upgrades I wanted to before we left. I only had my Laser Jammers and Radar Detector installed before we shipped the car out. When I get back I’ll start with all the upgrades.
Right now I'm sitting up in the room trying to get some rest before tomorrow. I had a BIG dinner cause we didn't eat all day with all the traveling. Dad is actually out with the rest of the guys at this spot that the locals say is really cool. I heard they have a beer that they call Moose Drool. HAHA It's funny when you hear them say it to. "There's this bar down the road you should check out. They have the most amazing Moose drool" LOL ok now I'm just being silly. I have to ask him when he gets back how it was. I'll let ya know. ;) Now I'm almost in a food coma. I've been trying to go to sleep but the sun is still BLAZING through the window. It's 9:20 here to which would make it 11:20 at home. Silly me forgot to take my cord to upload the stuff off of my camera. I felt like I had forgotten something. Always happens right??! I'm gonna post stuff as I go along the rally and update ya on all the crazy Bullrun mayhem this year! I have to find a best buy or something out here before we hit the road.
Alrighty I actually hear dad knocking on the door now. I'm going to hop off now but I'll be back. Dad just came in with our radios which we must charge. ;) ha Hopefully I get to run into some of you out there on the road this week!! xoxo

Hi Guys! It's Bullrun time! Welcome to my new site!!

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for visiting my new blog! I figured it was about time that I found my inner blog. Mostly because I am sick of hearing the word 'blog'. It's blog this and blog that, right? Ok, maybe not - I just really want to keep everybody updated on what is going on in my life. And with Bullrun starting this weekend, I figured it was as fantastic a time as any.

As you all know, I'm Kristine Elezaj. As in Elezaj. E - lay - Zi. Yeah....I know.....um...Kristine. I'm just
putting the finishing touches on my new album, and I'm so excited for everyone to hear it. If you hit my website and myspace music (links right over there on the upper left of the page), site you can listen to some sneak- peek tracks. I am really proud of them, and I can't wait for you to hear the whole album

Ok, so it's Bullrun time, and as you know, I'm a sucker for most things cars. It's a problem. I might see a doctor. As it is, this will be my third year driving the event with my Dad, and this year we are driving my new BMW 335xi. It's white and fast. And by fast I'm mean ludicrous. It makes me laugh then suddenly cry. The crying comes from tears of speed. It's like I'm in the last phase of NASA training. It will be plastered with decals of yours truly. I also sponsor a race car, and I plaster that with decals of me as well. I am a helpless self-promoter. Again...I'm seeing a doctor.

All right, I'm going to wrap this because I'm pretty sure you have gone from laughter to tears. Tears of boredom. And by boredom, I of course mean excitement!! I'm going to try really hard to keep updates coming on this baby as much as possible during the run, and then make it a regular thing. I've recruited the help on this site during the run from my lovely sister Catherine. We will be in
contact when I am on the rally, and she will be able to translate my lost grasp of the English language mid-week when I been living on Redbull and Balance bars and no sleep for 7 days. Also, my art director, race-car driver and 2006 Bullrun winner Pete Michels, will be popping in time to time with updates as well. Yes, I know what you are going to say...."How can one man be so stunning, and have a mind like a diamond?" - Answer - I don't know, but he is sitting next to me right now and made me write that.

So, please check in often and visit my other sites for picture updates, and music downloads. I will post pictures from the Bullrun, out and about, and all sorts of things when I get them here too. Check it out, we are blogging! Wooo hooo! It will be like you know me, and we are friends. I encourage you to post you comments! Thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you soon! XOXOXO
