A Bit of My Dad and Me During Fireball!*

Everyone always asks me what's its like to do these cross countries rallies. What I think everyone really wants to know is what its like being stuck in the car with my father from 3000 plus miles. haha DRUM ROLL PLEASE... Here's a clip of Dad and I on the Fireball Run.

Turn up volume. Press Play. Watch. Weep. Repeat.

Q: You know what's awesome? A: Watching videos of people going in front of tens of thousands of spectators to sing the National Anthem and completely mess it up. They fall on their ass, or sing "....by the lawn's girlie tights...", and get garlic fries hurled at them. Awesome. Slash delicious.

Well my friends, I'm sorry to say that this video has none of that. No, not even the garlic fries. And by sorry, I of course mean stupidly giddy, because this video brings a whole new meaning to awesomeness. And patriotism. I actually watched the first 30 seconds, got in my car and enlisted in the Coast Guard, and rushed back to watch the second half. Some people might call that craziness, but I say to them - it's only the Coast Guard....hello, I'm not a moron and water skiing is hella fun. And talk to me after you listen to her - we'll discuss in Fiji!

Kristine sang this baby a Capella in front of a sold out New York Islanders crowd at their home opener. That means no backing track, no big band, no back-up singers, and no lip syncing. I'm told that's kind of like trying to dismantle a bomb in a 130 degree yoga room with your girlfriend standing next to you squawking, "You want to tell me how you feel right now? You NEVER tell me how you FEEL! TALK to me!"

The Islanders went on to open a can of fogetaboutit on the St. Louis Blues, slapping them upside the head 5-2. All thanks to Kristine. True story.

What a rush!!*

Wow wow wow... What can I say, ha. I've can't believe last night! As you may already know from the blogs and photos I sang the national anthem last night for the opening game for the New York Islanders. What an insane rush that was!! Last night was my first time singing in a huge stadium and all I can say is WHEN ARE WE GOING BACK! haha What an amazing feeling I can't stop saying it. Seriously was such an honor and Thanks to everyone who made last night happen! After I sang we stayed and watched the game and during it my song overdose came blaring over the stadium system! I nearly feel over I jumped so high.. haha "OMG IT'S ME!" I jumped right on my mother. To top the night off during the games the islanders are doing something new were they have a new act opening up the games every home game and perform. I was asked to come back and perform my songs and do my set from Nassau Coliseum!! WOOHOOOO Thats going to be happening Dec. I can't wait I want to go back tomorrow. Will def let everyone know when it gets closer to that time. Thanks for everyone who wrote me who saw last night. Your comments were awesome and mean so much! Thanks again!!

Ok and it will probably be up on the website shortly and all over the place but I'm going to spill the beans here but only a little bit.. First single, YES!! First single drops nov. 11th!! Look out for it! Updates and info coming soon! and yes the long awaited tour dates are coming. The suspense is killing me to! ;)

Wow.

Well, last night I took a drive down to Long Island. I was watching "Dr. No", on cable and during a Fabreze commercial I said to myself "Man, I need a vacation like that! Only less people trying to kill me." So, I looked at a map, found the closest island, packed up the car and heading down to Long Island to see an Islanders game. Granted there were plenty of people trying to kill each other, just not me.

But seriously folks, the best part of the evening was right after the player introductions, before a sold out crowd, our friend Kristine Elezaj stepped out on to the ice and belted out our National Anthem in truly memorable fashion. She is a bona-fide talent, and with no instrumental backing, she brought the crowd to a ferocious roar. AMAZING! Want pics? Check them out! We will post the video from MSG once I find a 10 year old boy who can hack my Tivo and show me how to download it to my computer.(Left to right), Michael Schweiger, Denny Marte, Kristine Elezaj, Buzz Willis, Marash Elezaj.

And The Rockets Red Hair.....

I once saw a fight and a hockey game broke out. Duh-Duh Dump...

Tomorrow is Saturday night, and it is the home opener for the New York Islanders as they check it out verses the St. Louis Blues. I'm going. It's at the Nassau Coliseum - so that means 16,000+ loud Long Islanders roaring on their favorite team. You want to know what I'm looking forward to more than the chill of the ice, the blood, the giant beers, face painters and $12 hot dogs? Go ahead, guess. I'll give you a hint, it happens before the puck even drops. That's right, it's when everyone rises to their feet and reveal their hat-head - NATIONAL ANTHEM BABY!

New York Islanders. National Anthem. Kristine Elezaj. Woo. Hoo.

Kristine will belt out The Star Spangled Banner, Saturday night, Nassau Coliseum, center ice? What's in your wallet?

Which reminds me - this Saturday - NY Islanders - she is singing the NATIONAL ANTHEM! Center ice baby.

Here I am! =P

Hey guys

Just wanted to write and check in with everyone. I haven't been blogging lately, shame shame! I recently was away on the Fireball run this past week which traveled from Baton Rouge, LA to Grand Rapids Michigan. This rally was a great event cause it helps an amazing organization The child rescue center. Each car in this rally had a missing child assigned to their team and were given pictures to place on their vehicle and flyers to hand out every place that we stopped. Last year they said that a total of 20 children were recovered because of leads gained during the event. Hopefully this year we were able to match if not find more children. Along the route it really touched me with some of the stops that we made during the day. We visited 2 children's hospitals and one Child's orphanage the Tupelo's children's mansion. I have some pics of the kids and video of me singing with them while we visited and had lunch. They seriously touched my heart. Next entry I'll post some. I took some many pics that I'm still loaded and organizing them all. I would love to go back to spend more time and do a show for the kids at the mansion. They were awesome! =)

I had to jump off this rally a few days early though. If you have been reading I am getting ready to go on tour this fall. I was in rehearsals before I left and had to head back up to NY during the event to be back for fittings and to get back into rehearsal. =) Still waiting to post dates for you guys of all the cities that we will be hitting on the tour. Rumor has it that besides the east coast tour thats going to be kicking off in Nov. there is possibly another one in the works as well and one overseas. ;) don't know if I should have spilled the beans on that just yet but its still exciting and I was having a hard time keeping a secret from you guys anyway. haha

Right now im up at my parents house staying with my fam for a few days. I've been working a lot and then traveling some im catching up on the fam time right now. Me and ferrari are taking over the house. lol Me and my brother are watching perfect stranger. Since i'm writing this entry I keep looking up at odd moments and have no idea whats going on right now. lol  Ferrari is off probably annoying my moms other cats and our dog.

Oh I don't know how I could have forgot to mention this.... on Oct 11 I am going to be singing the National Anthem at the New York Islanders home game!! =) As far as I know its going to be shown on ESPN so you can tune in and check me out WOOHOO. Between you and me I'm a little nervous when I think about it. haha 16,000 people and home games are a big deal. Im soooo excited and grateful to have been asked. My team as been putting together a "buzz builder video" so all the footage from sessions rehearsals and even stuff like the islanders game will be up soon.

Speaking of, what do you guys think of the new site? Pretty neat right? =) Would love to hear feedback.

Also wanna say hello to Jay who I met in Tupelo.. I just read your comment on the blog site that was very sweet of you thank you so much!! It was very nice talking to you as well =) Hope you had a great time coming out for the rally in Tupelo. It def was one of my fav stops along the way. I had a chance to chat with Jay a little bit before I had to head off to the airport that morning. He also came out for the autocross event the day before which was killer!! I took my 335 out and showed the boys how to really drive ;) haha

k I'm gonna go finish watching the rest of this movie with my bro. I'll go through some more pics tomorrow and get them up here for you. Night!
