Mic Check 1 . 2

Whats up guys?! I'm back up at my parents house in westchester trying to battle this cough that I've had for what seems like forever. It actually might be as long as since I got back from my LA trip. Yikes.. But depsite that I've been pushing through working my tushy off doing this promo tour for "Souvenirs" Just this passed Tuesday I was up in Philly visiting Q102 and gave them a little exclusive performance of "Souvenirs" in their live room and met everyone up at the station. They are AWESOME and am so thankful for how supportive they were to me! Shout out to Romeo and Richie Rich!! Much love to everyone up there! Can't wait to go back and see them! ;) Then we drove back to NY because I had a performance that night at Santos Party House. I did a quick set and performed "Let You Know" and "Souvenirs" For those of you who couldn't make the show or live to far check out the pics and video's from both the Q102 and the show at Santos. :)

Vassilios Kostetsos

Went to check out Vassilios Kostetsos collection yesterday at the tents and I had to share with you because this is a designer I knew nothing about until this year. I had checked out his site before going to show a few days ago and after seeing some of his dresses from last session I was more then excited to see what he would be showing at the tents! If you have a moment ladies you should check out those dresses to.

He is from Athens and his clothes are realllyy sexy! I love them. They gave me some really great ideas from some performances pieces! I love going and getting inspired! I LOVED my hair to yesterday btw! lol

Fashion Week Madness

OK, so I am in love with NY but there is something about NY during Fashion Week that just makes NY feel extra special! I've been making some rounds to some events with my good friend Derek Warburton and also promoting my new single "Souvenirs" to the radio stations so this week has been extra exciting for me. I was actually just up at 103.5 KTU the day before yesterday doing an interview Bartel. He was so great and made me feel amazing how much he loved the song. I love going up to the stations and meeting the on air personalities and getting their feedback about the songs in person. Also I want to show my appreciation for the support that they are giving me and there is nothing better then getting yourself up there and sharing some hugs.. lol

Yesterday I hit up the Andrew Buckler show with Derek. Yes it's a men's line but hey its fashion week women aren't the only ones wearing fabulous clothes. I have to say I was really impressed with the line. My makeup artist Victor was actually doing the makeup for that show. So it was great to hang with him for a sec after the was done working and could enjoy the show for a bit :) Chris Brown even stopped by to check out the pieces. Later that night I met up with Victor and his agent Danny at the Buckler afterparty. Really I was just kidnapping them to take them over to meet up with Derek at the Tribeca Grand for the 7 NY 10 year anniversary party. That party was packed and a killer time so we winded up hanging there the rest of the night and canceling our other plans. I had to be a party pooper and head home earlier then I wanted because I was showing some good self control and had to get up early to head to my trainer in am. haha Got to get that workout in no matter what ;) This guy Sam though made my night when he came up to my table and starting singing "Let You Know" to me!! I seriously was so flattered! I mean I know that I have fans out there but how cool is it when you actually get to meet them and see first hand that they really love what you do! Thank you Thank you for the bottom of my heart!
-I've mentioned it before again I am in shock about the news of Alexander McQueen's death. I was shopping in the West Village today when I passed by his store and it was so sad seeing all the flowers laid out in front of the window. It was so weird all the people stopping and taking pictures. I actually wore a pair of his shoes to Jamie Foxx's after party for the Grammy's. They are in my top 10 Fav, most amazing shoes!! I know there is a pic of them floating around somewhere I have to find and post them. They were this amazing taupe color feathers covering the entire shoe expect the heal that was snake skin that was more towards the arch of foot then wear you normally find the heal of the shoe. TO DIE FOR!! What a genius he was! He will be greatly missed!
So I don't know if I mentioned but ever since getting back from LA I have been battling the WORST head cold ever! I thought at first that I was just loosing my voice and that tends to happen for some reason to me when I've been traveling a lot the the sch was a little crazy for the all the events we were doing. Like two days after I was home I had a late night session and had to cancel because I was straining myself so bad in the booth. I hate not being productive so I was trying my hardest to push through which really isn't smart. ha Damn perfectionist.... I was all stuffy and now thankfully the annoying stuffy part is gone but now I'm left with this darn cough.... grrr Next week I should get some more proper down time and hopefully be fully healed!

Derek LOVES Shopping!

OK! So I had to share with you a very special person that I have had the pleasure of working with and more importantly become so close to! The amazingly fabulous Derek Warburton! Derek and I worked together on one of my early shoots in my career and we have remained good friends every since! It's really rare that you find people that you can click with right away in your life and Derek is one of the people that leaves a long lasting impression on your heart with his infectious personality and of course flare for fashion. I had to infuse a little bit of Derek into your lives for those of you who have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Derek ;) Please go and check out his amazing site www.DerekLovesShopping.com! He is always updating it with amazing fashion insites because he's always in the know. He'll always bring a smile to your face I promise you with his witty updates. I was suppose to have brunch with Derek this afternoon and am so upset because of my horrible cold have to wait to see Derek until middle of the week.. haha So I'm going to stop chatting away and let you get to the site! Sundance.. Heaven

So I had posted some pics on my facebook and did some twitter updates from the sundance trip but I just had to post some here to share again the beautiful scenery that we saw in Utah! The picture of the plane my manager Roy took right after we landed in Salt Lake City. I had been to Utah before and driven through because of Bullrun but there is always something about the that part of the country that no matter how many times you see it it still takes your breath away.
Got to give a shout out to my Dad to for being such an amazing guy and hanging out with me on both trips to Utah and LA. He is such an amazing man! I'm really a lucky girl to have the parents that I have! On the Sundance trip I was joined my my manager Roy and his Girlfriend Tamara and my Lawyer Ray Javdan. The rest of my crew met up with me in LA. Our team is just growing into such an amazing extended Family!

Sicky Sicky..

I guess by body is coming off of the Sundance and Grammy high.. For the last couple of days I've been sick with a scratchy sore throat. :( I had a session the other night that I had to call early because I was straining myself to try and get the song done. So not a smart idea. I guess that's my perfectionist side coming out where I think I get push through. Sometimes it's just good to know your limits and it's ok to say I need a break once in awhile. I've been drinking tea like it's going out of style.. lol It also had a lot to do with jumping back and forth between hot and cold climates for the last 2 weeks. Well hopefully I bounce back quickly because it's that time of year again!! NY Fashion Week is literally around the corner!! I'm kicking it off with The Gen Art Fashion Show hosted by Molly Sims on the 10th! :) I love NY during fashion week! The city just feels amazing! It also great because I'm going to get so many great ideas for future shows and of course red carpets!

Well I'm going to pour myself another cup of tea and get back to relaxing on the couch catching up on my DVR. haha Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! xoxox

Beaching it in LA

So although I didn't get a lot of down time in LA I did get a chance to drive out to the beach during the day. Me and the team hung out by the pier and then had dinner while the sun set. It was really beautiful! Love these pictures had to share some :)

you should have been..."Here" Lounge

While I was in LA part of the promo I was doing was hitting up some clubs and doing some performances ;) If you missed them don't worry this is just the beginning and there will be plenty more.. My wonderful makeup artist took this video of my performances at Here Lounge in West Hollywood ;) The crowd there was soooo fabulous and showed me so much love I really appreciate it!! I have to gather the other footage my team. Laquan Smith made my sequin body suit for that night. In the pics below are my publicist Joyce and of course some of my amazing dancers (Nick, Alex & Malik) who rock the stage with me everytime! There was also a Birthday in the house that night & of course had to join in on the Bday fun and wish Alexander a very Happy Birthday and get the whole place join me in singing Happy Birthday for him! Hope the rest of your night was a memorable one ;)

I also want to thank all of my amazing LA friends for coming out to both shows while I was out there! Ultra Suede at Cherry Pop was my second performance during Grammy Week and the shows only got bigger and better! Trashy Lingerie & Kova and T hooked up that costume for the evening. It was killer! My dad got some good video from that performance. I just have to figure out how to get it off his hitech camera he brought. lol

So for those of you who were there what did you think? Hope you had a blast!! Find any "Souvenirs" the next morning ;) hehe

52nd Annual Grammy Awards!!!

Wow! The last two weeks have been amazing!! I'm still in shock that this year I was actually doing my first Grammy red carpet! What an overwhelming experience! I was so nervous leaving the hotel. haha When I got there and was around everyone and all that magical energy I remembered when I was a little girl and much I wanted to be an entertainer. All of a sudden all of my dreams are right before my eyes and coming true! Seriously don't be afraid to dream big! You can have whatever you heart desires! Words and thoughts are more powerful then you realize. My manager and I were saying there really is a greater meaning to the saying "put your mind to it" ;) To top it all off Radar Online voted me of the best dressed at the Grammys this year!! So flattered!! I found out when I was walking to the red carpet for Jamie Foxx's Grammy afterparty at the Conga Room Radar Online interview me and told me it really made my night! I went this year with my lawyer Ray Javdan to the actual Grammys and then met up with my Publicist Joyce Sevilla, Lauren Magboo & LA Times writer Matthew Donnelly who is a doll & one of the Fiercest people I know! He's been such a great supporter of my career thank you thank you darling!! Before heading to Jamie's party we stopped and had dinner at Katsuya. I love LA sushi!! Ny is so disappointing they don't have crispy rice! lol

So sorry that I didn't post anything really while I was away. So silly I thought I left my computer charger in Utah. I have to take my mac in because my laptop battery blew and it doesn't work unless it's plugged in at all times.. grr. Unbelievable wouldn't you know that when I was packing it feel out of my clothes I wanted to scream. lol So here I am back visiting my parents at their house and blogging everything. I hope I don't forget something.. Well hope you enjoy ;)
