Wow.

Well, last night I took a drive down to Long Island. I was watching "Dr. No", on cable and during a Fabreze commercial I said to myself "Man, I need a vacation like that! Only less people trying to kill me." So, I looked at a map, found the closest island, packed up the car and heading down to Long Island to see an Islanders game. Granted there were plenty of people trying to kill each other, just not me.

But seriously folks, the best part of the evening was right after the player introductions, before a sold out crowd, our friend Kristine Elezaj stepped out on to the ice and belted out our National Anthem in truly memorable fashion. She is a bona-fide talent, and with no instrumental backing, she brought the crowd to a ferocious roar. AMAZING! Want pics? Check them out! Tomorrow is Saturday night, and it is the home opener for the New York Islanders as they check it out verses the St. Louis Blues. I'm going. It's at the Nassau Coliseum - so that means 16,000+ loud Long Islanders roaring on their favorite team. You want to know what I'm looking forward to more than the chill of the ice, the blood, the giant beers, face painters and $12 hot dogs? Go ahead, guess. I'll give you a hint, it happens before the puck even drops. That's right, it's when everyone rises to their feet and reveal their hat-head - NATIONAL ANTHEM BABY!

Hey guys

Just wanted to write and check in with everyone. I haven't been blogging lately, shame shame! I recently was away on the Fireball run this past week which traveled from Baton Rouge, LA to Grand Rapids Michigan. This rally was a great event cause it helps an amazing organization The child rescue center. Each car in this rally had a missing child assigned to their team and were given pictures to place on their vehicle and flyers to hand out every place that we stopped. Last year they said that a total of 20 children were recovered because of leads gained during the event. Hopefully this year we were able to match if not find more children. Along the route it really touched me with some of the stops that we made during the day. We visited 2 children's hospitals and one Child's orphanage the Tupelo's children's mansion. I have some pics of the kids and video of me singing with them while we visited and had lunch. They seriously touched my heart. Next entry I'll post some. I took some many pics that I'm still loaded and organizing them all. I would love to go back to spend more time and do a show for the kids at the mansion. They were awesome! =) 

I had to jump off this rally a few days early though. If you have been reading I am getting ready to go on tour this fall. I was in rehearsals before I left and had to head back up to NY during the event to be back for fittings and to get back into rehearsal. =) Still waiting to post dates for you guys of all the cities that we will be hitting on the tour. Rumor has it that besides the east coast tour thats going to be kicking off in Nov. there is possibly another one in the works as well and one overseas. ;) don't know if I should have spilled the beans on that just yet but its still exciting and I was having a hard time keeping a secret from you guys anyway. haha 

Right now im up at my parents house staying with my fam for a few days. I've been working a lot and then traveling some im catching up on the fam time right now. Me and ferrari are taking over the house. lol Me and my brother are watching perfect stranger. Since i'm writing this entry I keep looking up at odd moments and have no idea whats going on right now. lol  Ferrari is off probably annoying my moms other cats and our dog. 

Oh I don't know how I could have forgot to mention this.... on Oct 11 I am going to be singing the National Anthem at the New York Islanders home game!! =) As far as I know its going to be shown on ESPN so you can tune in and check me out WOOHOO. Between you and me I'm a little nervous when I think about it. haha 16,000 people and home games are a big deal. Im soooo excited and grateful to have been asked. My team as been putting together a "buzz builder video" so all the footage from sessions rehearsals and even stuff like the islanders game will be up soon. 

Speaking of, what do you guys think of the new site? Pretty neat right? =) Would love to hear feedback. 

Also wanna say hello to Jay who I met in Tupelo.. I just read your comment on the blog site that was very sweet of you thank you so much!! It was very nice talking to you as well =) Hope you had a great time coming out for the rally in Tupelo. It def was one of my fav stops along the way. I had a chance to chat with Jay a little bit before I had to head off to the airport that morning. He also came out for the autocross event the day before which was killer!! I took my 335 out and showed the boys how to really drive ;) haha

Kristine and Pete hit the country

So Kristine and I have been working like bees. Worker bees. Kristine is pretty much the queen bee. She works harder than any of us, and still has time to smile. It makes me sick. We took a couple hours the other day to take a breath, have a coke, talk gears and go for a drive. As you may or may not know, Kris is gearing up for another rally at the end of the month - it's the Fireball and it starts down in Louisiana and heads north. It makes me laugh to think that she is even going to try to do this because if you look at her schedule for the next few months it looks like a Jackson Pollack. That being said, she is going to try for a few days on the road...good luck....

Anyway, we took some time to chill and go for a drive in the country. It was pretty. She almost killed me. We argued about directions. This was all about a quarter mile from my new place in the country. I'm screwed.

While on the drive, we brought a video camera, some rally stories, and a general disregard for my keen sense of direction. Watch it, it's horrible...but you can't look away, mostly because Kristine is so easy on the eyes.

Guys, check back for updates starting in about a week or so and I'll throw up some vids and pics from Kristine and her dad Marash on the Rally. The videos should prove funny because they will mainly consist of Kristine shaking her head at the steering wheel crying "Oh man, what am I doing, I need to get back to work!!" I'm sure they'll also be one with her singing in the car, laughing with her dad, amazing roads and just ones with her making statements like, "Dad, why is Pete's brain so sharp that it could probably cut medium rare steak?"

My 1st Billboard Article!!!!!!!

I can't believe it, my very first article in Billboard Magazine!!!!! AHHH What are great way to step into the music business press wise then being the in music bible. haha I've been on cloud 9 since yesterday still in shock that its actually in there. I was interviewed for it a few weeks ago and had no idea that it would be printed in the mag as fast as it was. I thought if anything Sept. possible if it would even get written up at all.. What an amazing feeling!! My manager Denny scanned it for me so of course Im going to share it here with you. ;) 

I was surprised when I opened up the mag to to see that I even had a picture in the contents sections haha Wow greatest feeling ever! haha

Also more great news. I am officially starting to tour in Sept!! HURRAYY!!! I am going to be opening up for artist Chris Willis doing all of his east coast dates =) I'm officially up on my agency's website as well (www.cegtalent.com) Can't wait to get started! I've been straight to work in rehearsals with my Choreographer Manwe gearing up for the shows. My dancers come back into rehearsals next week.. I can't wait to see them! I've missed them so much since our last show. 

I just got back from Barbados the beginning of the week. I was down there working on the last song thats going to be on the album. Production was done by Cardiff Giants. Seriously one of my fav songs on the album.. Can't wait for everyone to hear it! The rest of the album is in mastering as we speak. Just got a text from my ex. producer J. Marty that the whole album is officially mastered except one song. WOOOO Can't believe how far we've come! I've been enjoying every moment of this! It really is a dream come true. I'm just happy that I got the opportunity and then to actually see if coming to life and moving forward the way it has been is a feeling I wish I could explain. 

Well I know there will be much more very soon to share with you guys. I'm taking it easy today as I was a little under the weather yesterday =( Must have been something I ate, or I just got a little to over excited.. haha Hope your all well!!

Has it been that long??

In the midst of everything going on these days I didn't realize that I haven't checked in and touched base in a few weeks. Thats so bad =/ 

Well today was actually a weird day. Got up this morning and it still looked like it was the night before. The sun wasn't up and it looked like it was going to rain until the whole city was under water. Needless to say it did rain but only for 20mins and then the sun started peeking out. Very strange. Really messed with my energy today. I had rehearsal today downtown and after getting up to that mess I felt like I was going to work at midnight. 

I'm back in rehearsals with Manwe getting ready to head out for some spot dates on tour with whom I don't know if I can officially give up the goods here but it is "official" that you will see me on the road starting in Sept!!! =) Just for sept I am going to be doing the whole east coast!! Can't wait I'm ready ready ready to go go go! ha I've been back in rehearsals for the past 2 weeks. My dancers are getting back in with me when I get back from Barbados. I have to head down there on Friday to finishing working on the last track for the album. I'll be down there for the weekend and heading home on monday. =) I've never been before so I'm really looking forward to going. I'm so thankful that I get opportunities to go and work in places like that. I really have a great team! Yup, I'm one lucky girl! 

So on a personal note I got a cat. Yes, her name is Ferrari. haha of course ;) If you were wondering why I have the pic of the cat in this entry. Yes that's my girlie! I actually have had her for I think 2 months now. I got her from the shelter in NYC. She was 7 months old and to cute! I can't believe that people could just give up animals. I wanted to take the whole shelter home with me. It breaks my heart seeing them all locked up in there. So needless to say Ferrari is already spoiled. I was in LA in mid July and found the cutest hoodies for her. ha Yes sick I know putting my CAT in clothing. She's looking at me right now trying to hit the keys as I type. It's taking me extra long to write this because of it. 

Well I'm going to hope off and go make myself some dinner. I'm hunggrryyy.. Oh and before I forget. Keep an eye out on the websites (official, myspace etc) I've been prepping for a photoshoot the past week, which is happening this wed. All the sites are going to be getting a makeover. Expect new stuff and updates soon!
